Day 2 - Reef Improvement 101
As dawn breaks, dive in at Nusa Laut where the locals do much more than just preserve the reef. Enjoy wall and slope diving as you rub shoulders with Bumphead Parrotfishes, Jacks and an abundance of stunning macro life through four spectacular dives.
Day 3, 4 & 5 - Spice Matters
For the next 3 days, you will explore the renowned Spice Islands around Banda Neira - Hatta Island, Run Island and Ai Island. This region was once the only place where nutmeg grew in the world, sparking numerous wars between colonial forces. Visit the museum, soak in the atmosphere of the historic forts and for the ambitious - scale Gunung Api, a volcano that stands 600m above sea level. When it last erupted in 1988, the flow of lava destroyed an entire coral reef. What has grown back however, is just stunning. In the deep waters around the island, you’ll stand a good chance of sighting large pelagics like schooling Hammerhead Sharks. Besides that, enjoy the beauty of a Mandarin Fish dive before visiting the stunning Cathedral, Batu Kapal and Karang Hatta rock formations.
Day 6 - Civil Serpents
Through a special addition to the itinerary, you’ll also get to visit the two islands in Banda Sea with sea snakes slithering through the clear, blue waters. In the past, we’ve even spotted Silvertip Sharks and majestic Hammerheads gliding about in the sparkling currents.
Day 7 - We Wish You Whale
As we head back through Banda Sea, you could catch a glimpse of Blue Whales, Sperm Whales, Pilot Whales and more. Don’t worry about your flight schedule, we’ll check you in and make all the arrangements necessary to ensure you are well and truly relaxed.
